What we handle, and what is still on the roadmap

Fiscal rules differ in every market and vendors are often vague about which ones they actually implement. This page states our position plainly so you can check it against your accountant's list.

Switzerland

The home market, implemented in full

VAT rates

8.1% standard, 2.6% reduced and 3.8% accommodation, applied per product category. Dine-in and takeaway are treated separately on the same ticket.

Cash rounding

Cash totals round to the nearest CHF 0.05 at the ticket level. Card, TWINT and invoice keep the exact amount, and the difference is posted as a rounding line.

nDSG and GDPR

Data is hosted in Europe. Customers can request export or deletion, and both are executed from the console with a record of who approved them.

Audit trail

Every sale, void, discount, price override and cash movement records the operator, the device and the timestamp. Records are append-only.

European Union

Where each market stands today

Fiscalisation means certified hardware or software signatures in several EU countries. We list the exact requirement and our current status rather than a single claim of European compliance.

Market Requirement Status
Switzerland VAT rates, cash rounding, retention of records Available
Germany KassenSichV with a certified TSE, DSFinV-K export In progress
Austria RKSV signature device and receipt QR chain In progress
France NF525 certification for cash register software Planned
Italy Registratore Telematico daily transmission Planned
EU-wide GDPR: lawful basis, export, deletion, processor agreement Available

If your market requires certification we have not completed, we will say so before you sign rather than after.

Security

How the system protects the data

  • Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS; passwords and staff PINs are stored as bcrypt hashes, never in plain text.
  • Each business is isolated by tenant, and every request is checked against both the licence and the employee's role.
  • Sessions expire and can be revoked centrally when a device is lost or an employee leaves.
  • Daily encrypted backups with point-in-time restore, tested on a schedule rather than assumed to work.
